Abstract:
In the present study Seismic analysis of G+11 storey buildings without and with floating columns and floating columns having bracings at the perimeter in Zone Ⅳ using ETABS 2016(Version 16.2.1) software. Analysis is done by Response spectrum method for all the models as per IS 1893-Part 1 (2002) codal provision and seismic parameters such as storey displacement, storey drift ratio, storey stiffness, storey shear, time period are compared. All the models shows a similar kind of variations in the storey displacement and different kind of variations in storey drift. Displacement and drift in X-direction are found to be less than Y-direction in all the models. Maximum value of storey displacement and drift ratio is observed in Model M5: Floating columns at 7th and 9th floor in both X and Y directions, least value observed in Model M8: floating columns at 6th and 8th floor and having bracings at the perimeter in X and Y directions. Maximum value of storey stiffness is observed in Model M8, least value observed in Model M5.Storey stiffness values in X-direction is more than the Y-direction and all the models shows different kind of variations. . Maximum value of storey shear is observed in Model M8, least value observed in Model M5. Storey shear values in X-direction is more than the Y-direction, all the models shows similar kind of variations. All the models shows similar kind of variations in the time period. And Model M8 shows minimum time period.

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 11 - 16, Vol 04 - No. 07, 2019
Abstract:
Let G=(V(G),E(G)) be a simple graph. A set S ⊆V(G) is called a convex dominating set of a graph G if for every vertex u ∈ V(G)∖S, there exists V ∈S ∩ NG(u) and IG[S]=S. It is a super convex dominating set if NG (v) ∩ (V(G)∖S)={u}. The minimum cardinality of a super convex dominating set of G, denoted by Ysupc(G), is called the super convex domination number of G. In this paper, we initiate the study of the concept and give some important results. Further, we characterize the super convex dominating set under the corona of two graphs.

Abstract:
The perfect dominating set S is called a perfect doubly connected dominating set if it is doubly connected set in G. The minimum cardinality of a perfect doubly connected dominating set is called a perfect doubly connected domination number of G and is denoted by Ypdc(G). In this paper we investigate the concept and give some important results. Further, we characterize theperfect doubly connected dominating sets in the join and corona of two graphs.

Pharmacological treatments and natural for obesity: literature review and patents
Authors:

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 22 - 33, Vol 04 - No. 07, 2019
Abstract:
Obesity is a multifactorial disease that causes development and / or progression of several other diseases. Although there are several ways to treat obesity like diet, physical activity, re-education, and surgery, search for medications as adjuncts to treatment continues to increase. Scientific community has been researching new drugs and natural compounds that aim to increase efficiency of antiobesity treatment and reduce side effects associated with the use of medication. In order to contribute to updating of this relevant subject, this review compiled most recent studies included in the Science Direct journal platform on different approaches to contain disease progression, including drugs used in treatment of other diseases and have been shown to be efficient as antiobesity agentes, natural plant compounds having pancreatic lipase inhibition activity. In addition to more recent experiments on subject, this article has made search for patent deposits using European Espacenet database to check how many of most recent experiments have turned into drugs.

Investigation of the Effect of Decision Matrix on Industrial Engineering Students’ Descision Making Skills
Authors:

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 34 - 39, Vol 04 - No. 07, 2019
Abstract:
Business world expects engineers to make accurate and reliable decisions on complex problems in multiple environments. Engineers need to rely on scientific techniques and be reliable in their decision-making processes. In this study, decision matrices were used as a method of multi-criteria decision making. This study was carried out with the participation of 37 engineering faculty students. At the first phase, students were given multi-criteria problems and they were expected to decide these problems intuitively and then check their decisions by using decision matrix. In the second phase, the relationship between the engineering students' decision making skills and decision making styles was examined. Data were obtained from Melbourne decision making questionnaire and decision matrix for 4 different scenarios by using survey method. No significant relationship was found between students' Melbourne test results and decision matrices results. The correlation between students' Melbourne questionnaire results and decision matrices results was found to be very low. These results indicate that engineering students will change their intuitive decisions on different real life problems if they use decision making tools like decision matrices. Using decision matrices will enable engineering students to give more realistic decisions about real life problems according to given criteria.
