Operating Woes of Theme Parks: Its Financial Struggles worsened in the COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract:
Visitors travel for leisure and pleasure. They want to enjoy and feel a unique experience that theme parks can offer. From the appealing design of the structure and architecture to the engaging games and entertainment activities, visitors can cite thousands of reasons why theme parks are truly the happiest places on earth.
VI theme park is one of the beautiful theme parks constructed by LSM Company. Because of its lavish exterior and landscape, it is the most visited theme park in the Western part of world. However, visitors are not aware that VI theme park is struggling with their poor financial performance due to its poor management and financial strategies and lack of market analysis.
The COVID-19 pandemic created a lot of aggravating effects to the aforementioned situation of VI theme park. This global crisis put their operations, as well as the entire Tourism industry, on hold. Without any visitors coming to the theme parks, any chance to recoup their losses was completely nullified.
For a theme park to have a successful outcome of their operations, it is important to note that they need to conduct a comprehensive analysis on the essential facets of the market. Understanding these matters will help the company structure their theme park to have a more agreeable and memorable experience for the locals.
VI theme park needs to re-examine their operational strategies and find solutions to solve its financial woes. LSM Company management needs to know the significance of the stakeholders’ engagement. These people have a lot to contribute for the survival and recovery of the VI theme park.

Title:
A Geometric Algorithm for Roots of Algebraic and Transcendental Non-Linear Equations

Abstract:
There are numerous methods for solving non-linear equations whicharise in all areas predominantly engineering field. In general,all these methods are enhancement of three basic methods: Bisection, Regula Falsi, and Newton-Raphson method. Severalvariations have been made forimproving the performance of these methods. Since the non-linear equations do not have analytic solutions, the researchers resort to numerical techniques. We design and implement a threewayhybrid algorithm,that is geometric approach based on only first derivative independent of any existing variation.We compare the performance of our algorithm with the available methods on various equations found in the recent literature as benchmark. Experiments validate thatthe new algorithm converges more quicklyor at least at par with previous algorithms, confirming that the new algorithm is simpler, efficient and accurate.

Use of structured knowledge processes in order to improve innovation in business model with mediating the role of organizational agility in small and medium businesses in Iran

Abstract:
This study was conducted to use structured knowledge processes to improve innovation in the business model with the mediating role of organizational agility in small and medium businesses in Iran. A standard questionnaire was used to collect field data. The questionnaire was distributed among 383 sample people from the statistical population, which is all managers and experts of small and medium businesses in Iran. The research method was descriptive-correlational. To answer the questions and test the research hypotheses with Smart-PLS software, the method of studying structural equations and path analysis using the partial least squares (PLS) method was used. The results show that the process of knowledge acquisition has a positive and significant effect on the process of knowledge conversion and the process of knowledge conversion on the process of knowledge application and the process of knowledge application on innovation in the business model. The results also show that the process of applying knowledge has a positive and significant effect on organizational agility and organizational agility on innovation in the business model. The results finally confirmed the positive and significant effect of the process of applying knowledge through organizational agility on innovation in the business model.

Method of Drying Mixed Briquettes (Cassava Skin, Corn Weevil, Rice Straw) Using Microwave

Abstract:
Microwaves (microwave) have a function to increase temperature by means of friction on material particles. The drying method of agricultural waste briquettes using microwave heating is considered faster and can be measured. Briquettes from agricultural waste are an alternative to fossil fuels. The purpose of this study was to determine the moisture content, ash content, flame duration, and calorific value of the briquettes using the microwave drying method. In addition, the purpose of this research is one of the outputs of applied research funded by the Research and Technology Directorate through the 2020 DPRM. The basic ingredient of briquettes is a mixture of coconut shell, soybean shell, peanut shell, corncob, rice straw, and cassava skin. The results showed that the lowest water content was found in specimen 2 with a composition of 40% corn cobs, 50% straw, 10% cassava husk, the lowest ash content in specimen 2 with a composition of 40% corn cobs, 50% straw, 10% cassava skin, Long flame time of specimen 1 with a composition of 50% corncob, 20% straw, 30% cassava husk, the highest calorific value in specimen 1 with a composition of 50% corn cobs, 20% straw, 30% cassava skin. Overall, the test of agricultural waste material that has the highest value is coconut shell.
